FAM Trip Andalusia

- FAM Trip Highlights Andalusia’s Rich Culture, Scenic Landscapes, and Unique Travel Experiences for Indian Travel Agents
The Tourism Office of Spain (Turespaña) in India, in collaboration with Andalusia Tourism, successfully organized an educational familiarization trip for 37 Indian travel agents to the captivating region of Andalusia. Held from November 16 to 22, 2024, the trip introduced participants from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities of India to Andalusia’s rich culture, history, and diverse landscapes. The seven-day journey encompassed visits to iconic destinations such as Málaga-Costa del Sol, Ronda, Córdoba, Sevilla, Jaén, Granada, and Nerja. The itinerary was carefully curated to provide firsthand experiences of the region’s offerings, including its remarkable heritage, culinary traditions, and natural beauty. A key highlight of the trip was a B2B workshop organized by the Seville City Office on November 18, which brought together 38 Sevillian travel companies and the Indian travel agents for an engaging networking session followed by lunch. Additionally, Visit Costa del Sol Board hosted a networking dinner in Málaga on November 21, with participation from nine of their members, fostering connections and promoting collaborative opportunities. Feedback from the participants underscored the success of the trip. Many agents highlighted Andalusia’s unique appeal as a destination with “rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and iconic monuments,” enabling them to design tailored itineraries that resonate with their clients. One participant remarked, “Experiencing Andalusia firsthand has been invaluable. From the Alhambra in Granada to the vibrant streets of Sevilla, this region offers something for every traveler. I am confident that we can now position Andalusia as a premier destination for our clients.” The FAM trip provided Indian travel agents with valuable insights into tailoring itineraries that cater to their clients’ diverse preferences. By experiencing Andalusia firsthand, participants gained the knowledge and confidence to highlight the region’s exceptional offerings. With the support of local partners and customized experiences, Andalusia is poised to become a top choice for Indian travelers.
