Madrid, the new home of international luxury for discerning travelers
Exclusive experiences, elite gastronomy and premium shopping in Spain's capital city
Spain is positioning itself as one of the world's leading destinations for luxury tourism, attracting travelers seeking exclusivity, authenticity and privacy. The country responds to these demands with experiences ranging from private dining in historic buildings and 3-Michelin-starred restaurants, to designer boutique accommodations and cultural and heritage proposals of international prestige. Madrid is a vibrant urban tourist destination known for its cultural, historical and gastronomic richness, and is a new enclave on the luxury map, as numerous prestigious international firms have chosen the city to set up their stores and open hotels. In addition, the capital has a premium shopping circuit that includes exclusive stores and artisans. Its offer includes iconic museums such as the Prado, Reina Sofía and Thyssen-Bornemisza or the recently opened large museum project Galería de las Colecciones Reales, as well as emblematic monuments such as the Royal Palace and Puerta del Sol. Its architecture mixes classic and modern styles, while neighborhoods such as Malasaña, La Latina and Chueca offer nightlife, shopping and bohemian atmosphere.

To strengthen its position in the luxury segment and capture a profile of travelers with high purchasing power, the Madrid City Council has launched 'Madrid Unique Destination', a tourism product club that brings together more than 50 companies in the sector, including hotels, travel agencies, transport companies and cultural institutions "where excellence is the norm". Each of the partners is not only recognized as a benchmark of authenticity, but offers experiences that inspire and elevate, fusing tradition, innovation and the avant-garde. Madrid Unique Destination' is designed as a tool for the management, planning and creation of tourism products, facilitating the connection between professionals in the sector and the development of joint actions. Among the companies that are part of the club are hotels such as Hyatt Regency Hesperia Madrid and Montera Madrid, Curio Collection by Hilton; agencies such as Madrid & Beyond and Made for Spain & Portugal; and emblematic spaces such as the Real Fábrica de Tapices and Galería Canalejas.
