Spain's gastronomy shines: 291 Michelin-starred restaurants by 2025

Spanish culinary talent is recognized internationally

Spanish gastronomy, one of the best in the world, has reinforced its international prestige with the recent publication of the Michelin Guide 2025, which recognizes 291 restaurants in the country. The new edition highlights 16 restaurants with three stars, 33 with two and 242 with one. Among the new developments, Casa Marcial, located in Arriondas (Asturias), has obtained its third Michelin star, joining the select group of 16 restaurants with this distinction in Spain. This recognition highlights the culinary excellence and commitment to haute cuisine of siblings Nacho and Esther Manzano.

In addition, three establishments have been awarded a second star: Alevante, in Chiclana de la Frontera (Cádiz); LÚ Cocina y Alma in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz) and Retiro da Costiña in A Coruña. These restaurants stand out for their innovation and quality in the gastronomic offer. The one-star category has incorporated 32 new restaurants, reflecting the diversity and culinary richness in various regions of Spain. This expansion underscores the dynamism and constant evolution of the national gastronomic scene. The 2025 edition of the Michelin Guide Spain reaffirms the country's commitment to culinary excellence, innovation and sustainability, consolidating its position as a top gastronomic destination.
