The Valencian Community, on the east coast of Spain, stands out for its Mediterranean beaches, historical heritage, the flavor of its paellas and because its more than 300 days of sunshine a year and mild winters position it as a leading destination for golf tourism. Golf tourism has established itself as an economic engine in the Valencian Community, generating more than 10,000 jobs and an economic impact of 918 million Euros, not only in golf courses, but also in hotels, restaurants, stores, rent-a-car, airports, etc. Spain is a benchmark destination in Europe for practicing the sport and the Valencian Community ranks fourth in the national ranking, with 35 courses, designed by renowned architects, offering playing experiences for both beginners and professionals.

The regional offer consists of 20 18-hole courses, 6 9-hole courses, 2 27-hole courses and one 36-hole course. The proposal is completed with 5 Pitch and Putt courses and one rustic course, to which is added a Par 3 course in Elche. The province of Alicante, with 19 fields, accounts for 66% of the total, Valencia accounts for 24% (7 fields), and the remaining 10% (3 fields) is located in the province of Castellón. This tourist segment is key for deseasonalization, since its high seasons are concentrated in spring, autumn and, increasingly, in winter, helping to balance the influx of tourists throughout the year. The profile of the golf tourist is characterized by a high purchasing power, with a daily expenditure that exceeds that of the conventional visitor. This spending benefits various sectors, including hotels, restaurants, stores and transportation services, demonstrating the cross-cutting capacity of golf to invigorate the regional economy.
